Davis Family Debut

So we were on Korean national television the other day. It's kind of a long story. We have this friend who works for this company who is contracted with yadayadayada. Anyhow, they did a telethon on national TV there to show people in Korea how great it is to be charitable people (like we American's are ;) Part of the telethon is on youtube. And now, Deep thoughts by Jack Handey

Remember when Saturday night live wasn't completely trashy? Those were the good ol' days. One of my favorite things back then was "Deep thoughts by Jack Handey". For a quick montage click here.

If you've never heard Deep thoughts before (because you lived in some sort of bio-dome during the 90's) then you are now a)laughing your head off or b) thinking I have a lame sense of humor. To each their own. If you were a) then here's a few more of my all time favorite Deep Thoughts.

Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk, my first instinct is to laugh. But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me. Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny.

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

If you were a poor Indian with no weapons, and a bunch of conquistadors came up to you and asked where the gold was, I don't think it would be a good idea to say, "I swallowed it. So sue me."

Somebody told me how frightening it was how much topsoil we are losing each year, but I told that story around the campfire and nobody got scared.

To me, boxing is like a ballet, except there's no music, no choreography, and the dancers hit each other.

If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

If you saw two guys named Hambone and Flippy, which one would you think liked dolphins the most? I'd say Flippy, wouldn't you? You'd be wrong, though. It's Hambone.

Laurie got offended that I used the word "puke." But to me, that's what her dinner tasted like.

If you're ever stuck in some thick undergrowth, in your underwear, don't stop and think of what other words have 'under' in them, because that's probably the first sign of jungle madness.

Fear can sometimes be a useful emotion. For instance, let's say you're an astronaut on the moon and you fear that your partner nas been turned into Dracula. The next time he goes out for the moon pieces, wham!, you just slam the door behind him and blast off. He might call you on the radio and say he's not Dracula, but you just say, "Think again, bat man."

The face of a child can say it all, especially the mouth part of the face.

I can see why it would be prohibited to throw most things off the top of the Empire State Building, but what's wrong with little bits of cheese? They probably break down into their various gases before they even hit.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.

It’s easy to sit there and say you’d like to have more money. And I guess that’s what I like about it. It’s easy. Just sitting there, rocking back and forth, wanting that money.

If I ever get real rich, I hope I'm not real mean to poor people, like I am now

Instead of a trap door, what about a trap window? The guy looks out it, and if he leans too far, he falls out. Wait. I guess that's like a regular window.

Children need encouragement. So if a kid gets an answer right, tell him it was a lucky guess. That way, he develops a good, lucky feeling

If you're a cowboy, and you're dragging a guy behind your horse, I bet it would really make you mad if you looked back and the guy was reading a magazine.

If you think a weakness can be turned into a strength, I hate to tell you this, but that's another weakness.
